Les Petroleuses (Sheffield-based improvising arsonists Lyn Hodnett and Gillian Whiteley) drew out a slow burn, kindled the flames and ripped it up sonically, visually and vocally on cello, viola, trumpet, hurdy-gurdy, shruti box, accordions, gongs, vocals, scissors, paper, graphite, ink, assorted objects and other stuff….creating a blazing din and a warm glow
This was a free event on FRIDAY 19th November 2021 in the big barn at Unstone Grange, near Sheffield. After, we led a procession with instruments and percussion to a bonfire in the wonderful rambling grounds, lit by a glorious full moon.
It was a magical evening….
